About Marble

Marble is a climate tech venture studio. Our north star is to erase billions of tons from annual greenhouse gas emissions and create a thriving future.

We partner with scientists, engineers and operators to create new deep tech companies that solve hard climate problems — slash emissions, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and cool the planet — while reshaping multi-billion $ industries.

We're proud to be backed by leading climate investors across Europe and the US.

About The Role

We are hiring a Talent Associate - Climate Tech to join the Marble team and lead our talent activities. You’ll play a pivotal role in making sure we find top Founders in Residence to build our next companies, ensure that we have superstar applicants to join existing projects as Co-Founders, support us to scale the Marble team with A-players and act as a key resource to support our portfolio companies with their hiring needs.

Reporting to the Partners, and coordinating across all functions in the Marble team, the Talent Associate will be responsible for driving world class applicants across our roles and delivering a top candidate experience.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the brightest and most mission driven individuals you’ll meet!

Location: Paris, France.

Language: English and French fluency required.

Responsibilities

The Talent Associate role involves end-to-end responsibility across the board:

  • Talent Acquisition. You will create and coordinate inbound and outbound talent campaigns that generate world class applicants for open roles. You’ll develop a playbook of approaches that can be deployed to effectively generate a strong pipeline of top talent across Founders in Residence, Co-Founders in Residence and other positions.
  • Talent Management. You will manage our talent interview processes, conducting interviews, suggesting process improvements and contributing to the creation of training and documentation on talent best practice to improve and standardise the selection process across the team. You will play an active role in ensuring a high quality experience for applicants, from first touch to onboarding.
  • Talent Ambassador. You will create and maintain strong ties to relevant ecosystems and communities that can serve as key pools of future talent. You will create, manage, attend and support online and in person events designed to engage and promote Marble within the community.
  • Reporting and Insights. You will manage and improve our tooling stack for talent, including our ATS. You will produce relevant reporting to monitor the effectiveness of talent activities, using data to suggest and implement improvements.

Requirements

The Talent Associate is uniquely suited for early career candidates with past demonstrated experience working in technical recruitment and related roles.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in recruitment, HR, or related roles that have given you strong exposure to the talent function, ideally with experience in technical recruitment.
  • You have exposure to the talent processes across the candidate lifecycle with different role types, skill-sets and levels of seniority.
  • You have demonstrated that you are uncompromising in the search for top talent. You understand that securing the very best talent creates non-linear outcomes, and you are relentless in finding ways to achieve this.

Your ability to learn on the job is more important than ticking every single box. However we would especially love to hear from you if this sounds like you:

  • You are a people person. You are approachable, empathetic and generous, with a high level of emotional intelligence. People feel energised around you and you get energised being around people.
  • You are highly curious. You’re interested in learning new topics and understanding technical ideas and markets.
  • You have great sourcing skills. You’d feel comfortable to identify, approach, evaluate, and convince the top 0.1% of a field to become startup founders.
  • You make things happen. You are outcome focused, action oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. You have a track record of end to end project completion.
  • You are an outstanding communicator, able to engage and convince with written and oral communication.
  • You actively seek ownership. You are comfortable defining your own goals and enjoy working on multiple projects, with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • You have a track record of building relationships with key players in relevant ecosystems, creating an unfair advantage in accessing top talent.
  • You have experience using LinkedIn and related tools to identify and activate top talent. Bonus if you are familiar with the modern work tooling stack: Slack, Notion, Luma, Zoom, Zapier, Calendly, etc.
  • You are a pragmatic optimist with a driving motivation to mitigate climate change.
