Job Summary

As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems for the reactor and peripheral devices. You will work closely with the technical team to optimize the performance of our technology, from prototype phase to industrialization. This position is an opportunity to participate in creating revolutionary solutions to combat climate change.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Mechanical and Hardware Design 🖥️Develop and design the reactor's mechanical systems, including peripheral devices (heat exchangers, piping, supports, etc.). Propose innovative solutions to improve the reactor's efficiency and sustainability.

  2. Prototype Development 🔬Collaborate with the team to build reactor prototypes. Oversee the integration of peripheral systems (control systems, safety, etc.) with the reactor.

  3. Optimization and Scaling 📈Contribute to the thermal and mechanical optimization of the reactor for industrial scale-up. Identify improvements to reduce costs and increase system efficiency.

  4. Project Management 📊Participate in the management of hardware projects, in connection with the selection of industrial equipment and suppliers. Write technical specifications and ensure process documentation.

Your Profile

  • PhD/Degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in the development of complex systems (reactors, thermal devices, etc.).
  • Proficiency in mechanical simulation (SolidWorks, ANSYS or equivalent).
  • Experience in prototyping and industrial scale-up.
  • Good ability to work in a team and manage technical projects.

Additional Assets

Experience in energy systems, thermal systems, or carbon capture would be a plus.

Conditions

  • 📄 Contract: Full-time (”CDI”)
  • 🏢 Location: Campus Air Liquide, Les Loges-en-Josas (France)
  • 💰Compensation: Competitive salary, starting from €40K gross annual, adjusted according to experience + bonus.
