This role is for a new stealth company created by Marble which uses cutting edge electrochemistry and advanced energy storage technologies for net zero emissions, with a total impact potential in the multi gigaton scale.
About The Role
We are looking for a process/chemical engineer to help build the first fully integrated prototype of a unique technology with a 10x improvement potential on current benchmarks.
The role will focus on designing, building and optimizing the process at small-scale.
Location: HQ in Paris, lab in Paris downtown - we can sponsor relocation visa if needed
Language: English fluency required. French is not mandatory.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and development: Deliver a fully integrated prototype for best-in-class performance. You’ll implement and configure the process; catalytic reactors, surrounding equipment (flowing, heating, analysis), and associated software. You’ll also lead the scale-up process in due time, ensuring the sustainability and scalability of the system.
- Performance assessment: You’ll implement a close feedback loop on the system - allowing you to observe, orient, decide, and act for future iterations. This may include assessing processes, taking measurements, running and testing different samples, performing process simulations, and issue troubleshooting.
- Project management & procurement: You’ll be overseeing the sourcing and procurement of strategic machinery and equipment. You’ll maintain records and write early company documentation of the process.
Ideal Background(s)
- Proven experience in industrial projects, particularly involving large-scale electrochemical processes and/or carbon capture, storage, utilization
- Demonstrated experience in Proof of Concept (PoC) development and scale-up
- Proficient in utilizing methods and tools for process engineering
- Experience in performing P&ID design and optimization
- Experience in performing TEA & LCA assessment
- Ability to manage a project, from cost to people and time constraints
- Experience with electrochemical systems is a plus;
- Experience with biotechnologies is a huge plus!
